A simple blood test can now detect Alzheimer’s years before symptoms appear. It’s accurate. It’s affordable. It’s available.

But most Americans will never get it — because Medicare can’t cover it.

Not “won’t.” Can’t. The law doesn’t allow it. Only Congress can change that, and the bipartisan Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act is how.

We believe this is the most important bill in Alzheimer’s advocacy today. So over the coming weeks, we’re launching a new video and blog series — The ASAP Minute — to walk you through everything you need to know to champion it.

This week, two videos kick off the series: a short welcome, and Episode 1, which answers the first question everyone needs to answer — what does the ASAP Act actually do, and what doesn’t it do?

Watch, share, advocate

Each episode is designed to stand on its own. Watch the ones that interest you. Share the ones that resonate. And bring this content into the conversations you’re already having — with your member of Congress, your neighbors, your family.

The difference between a breakthrough that transforms lives and one that sits on a shelf is us.

Welcome to The ASAP Minute. Let’s get to work.

Take action: Ask your members of Congress to cosponsor the ASAP Act — S.3267 in the Senate, H.R.6130 in the House.
